Normally I’d prefer not to write a post full of links, but we’re seeing a lot of enquiries at the moment from folks new to WebSphere ESB, Integration Developer, and Process Server, who are looking for some good places to learn more and get started. Here are some of my personal recommendations:
- What’s new in WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus V6 – A general introduction to some ESB concepts (this article actually refers to the first version of ESB – 6.0.1).
- Getting Started with WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus V6 – A more lengthy technical tutorial on ESB (again, covers ESB 6.0.1).
- What’s new in WebSphere ESB 6.0.2 – from the ESB Infocenter.
- Recommended reading list for SOA and Process Server – links to lots of high-level and low-level documentation on IBM’s SOA products generally, as well as Process Server and Integration Developer specifically.

“What’s new in WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus V6″ does cover Version 6.0.2.

Hi,
I’m trying to follow thru the “Building an ESB mediation to transform delimited files to service invocations” sample using WID v 6.0.2 on Windows. I’m unable to do step#10 thru 13 since the screens are very different in the new release. Is there a work around for this?
Thanks in advance for your quick response.

Hi David – I assume you mean the DeveloperWorks tutorial here? If so, I suggest you email Gabriel (the author) with your question directly. He will be best placed to help.

Hi Chris,
It appears that the tutorial will work only with WID 6.0.1. Also, is the WESB product capable of routing messages? If yes, could you please point me to a tutorial.
Thanks,

Chris,
Never mind…I found the answer. Looks like the filter primitive will help me to do that and there’s a good sample that shows me how to use it.
Thanks,

I want to download websphere integration developer but cannot
find a link to do so. Any pointers to help me (or is it not on test offer?)
