The US Energy Policy Act of 2005 changes the effective dates of US Daylight Savings time (DST) from 2007. WebSphere Application Server v6.0.1.x (and before) may be affected by this change and so the patch available here should be installed.
Note: WebSphere ESB and WebSphere Process Server although not affected directly are built on top of WebSphere Application Server. Later versions of these products will bundle later versions of WebSphere Application Server with these fixes.
